May the Name of the Lord Be Glorified Over All Problems!
Isaiah 42:8-9, Isaiah 48:11, Ezekiel 20:9-10, Ezekiel 36:22-23, Exodus 32:12-14, Numbers 14:13-17, Deuteronomy 9:28-29
When the Glory of the Lord appears, something definitely must change. “When Israel came out of Egypt, Jacob from a people of foreign tongue, Judah became God’s sanctuary, Israel his dominion. The sea looked and fled, the Jordan turned back; the mountains leaped like rams, the hills like lambs. Why was it, sea, that you fled? Why, Jordan, did you turn back? Why, mountains, did you leap like rams, you hills, like lambs? Tremble, earth, at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the God of Jacob, who turned the rock into a pool, the hard rock into springs of water” (Psalm 114:1-8).
No one can stand or stop the Glory of God. In Exodus 33:18-23, “Moses said, “Now show me your glory.” And the Lord said, “I will cause all my goodness to pass in front of you, and I will proclaim my name, the Lord, in your presence. I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion. But,” he said, “you cannot see my face, for no one may see me and live.” Then the Lord said, “There is a place near me where you may stand on a rock. When my glory passes by, I will put you in a cleft in the rock and cover you with my hand until I have passed by. Then I will remove my hand and you will see my back; but my face must not be seen.”” Glory is as the Beauty of God. It is beyond description and cannot be tampered. It is a source of honour that brings Praises to Him. His Glory makes a difference in a man’s life.
When His Glory is upon a man, he is untouchable. Job did not know the glory of God was around him, just like some of us. Job always sacrificed for sin yet to be committed, he saw God as judgemental. Job 1:5, “When a period of feasting had run its course, Job would make arrangements for them to be purified. Early in the morning he would sacrifice a burnt offering for each of them, thinking, “Perhaps my children have sinned and cursed God in their hearts.” This was Job’s regular custom.”
Job was like a son who will greet his father “Goodnight” and “Good morning” should in case he woke up and forgot to greet. The glory of God was upon Job and the devil himself knew it. Job 1:9-10, “Then Satan answered the Lord, “Does Job fear God for nothing? Have You not put a hedge [of protection] around him and his house and all that he has, on every side? You have blessed the work of his hands [and conferred prosperity and happiness upon him], and his possessions have increased in the land.”” Which also means that when the glory of the Lord is upon a man, powers of darkness cannot touch him; That is why the devil lures the people of the Lord with temptations that will make them forsake or sin against God. “Because the carnal mind is enmity against God; for it is not subject to the law of God, nor indeed can be” (Romans 8:7).
It is when the Presence of the Lord leaves you, that the devil can attempt to mesmerise or destroy you. Satan could not go to Job until “the Lord said to Satan, “Behold, all that Job has is in your power, only do not put your hand on the man himself.” So Satan departed from the presence of the Lord” (Job 1:12). The glory of God left Job, giving Satan an opportunity to destroy him, however, the Lord does not let us be tempted beyond what we cannot carry. The bible speaking in 1 Corinthians 10:13, “No temptation [regardless of its source] has overtaken or enticed you that is not common to human experience [nor is any temptation unusual or beyond human resistance]; but God is faithful [to His word—He is compassionate and trustworthy], and He will not let you be tempted beyond your ability [to resist], but along with the temptation He [has in the past and is now and] will [always] provide the way out as well, so that you will be able to endure it [without yielding, and will overcome temptation with joy].”
God’s Glory is beyond measure. His glory removes shame, reproach and puts you back into recovery. Isaiah 61:7, says “instead of your shame you will receive a double portion, and instead of disgrace you will rejoice in your inheritance. And so you will inherit a double portion in your land, and everlasting joy will be yours.” His glory is also available for those returning back to Him but such a person must put sin far away. Job 22:23, says “If you return to the Almighty [and submit and humble yourself before Him], you will be built up [and restored]; if you remove unrighteousness far from your tent.” Everyone is created for the Glory of God as it is written in Isaiah 43:7, “Everyone is called by My Name, Whom I have created for My glory, Whom I have formed, even whom I have made.”
When the Glory leaves you, you become vulnerable and may loose total control of your environment. Adam dominated and subdued the earth but when the Glory of God left him, he was thrown out of eden; so as men today are removed from their place of glory because of sin. Some of us no longer have the power to subdue or they are stagnant in faith because sin has overcome them. Do not walk away from God less He walks away from you and the place of your glory becomes vacant. Should in case you have walked away from Him, you can still return and be restored back to His Glory (Job 22:23). The one without God is as a dead man walking because he is living without the glory of God.
The Glory of God is Power. The Lord knows us before we were born (Jeremiah 1:5). He made us for His glory (Isaiah 43:7), so as Christians evil is not permitted to destroy us for even the devil is in obedience to us (Psalm 8:6). Anyone who genuinely follows God cannot be trouble, no matter what intends to work against you, the Lord will be with you in trouble, deliver and honor you (Psalm 91:15). We need to walk in a Christian mentality that in all things, we must be favoured (Romans 8:28).
Do not let situations make you backslide, do not loose your glory in transit. Do not get involved with occult powers because you cannot wait on the Lord. As Christians, our only hope is to wait on the Lord. Micah 7:7, “But as for me, I will look expectantly for the LORD and with confidence in Him I will keep watch; I will wait [with confident expectation] for the God of my salvation. My God will hear me.” God will never forsake us (Hebrews 13:5, Joshua 1:5). Even when we wait on the Lord, He renews our strength so that we do not weary. Isaiah 40:31, “But those who wait for the LORD [who expect, look for, and hope in Him] Will gain new strength and renew their power; They will lift up their wings [and rise up close to God] like eagles [rising toward the sun]; They will run and not become weary, They will walk and not grow tired.”
The Power in the Glory of God subdues other powers, principalities including death (2 Timothy 1:10, Colossians 2:10) and gives us power to decree and declare and it be established (Job 22:28). The Power in His Glory gives us control of our environment. We then can make a decision and it stands.
At some point in my life, my Landlord wanted me to move out of the house, to a point he wanted to take me to court for emergency exit. Before I got to court, I told God the court will never seat and so it was; the case was dismissed and my Landlord gave me 1 year rent for free. When the Glory of God moves, no man can hinder the operation of the Glory.
I know a man that died, he was taken to a place where people were praying but he could not wake up; I got in there, called the man about 7 times and he stood up and follow me.
At the time of the Glory of God, everything is in accordance to the appointed time of God (Job 14:14). What you need to explore the powers of darkness is the Glory of God. Only God can give allow you access to His Glory which is available in service. Are you serving God? There is no power except Jesus. Some of us do not even know the power in the name of Jesus. Philippine 2:10-11, says that “at the name of Jesus [a]every knee shall bow [in submission], of those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and that every tongue will confess and openly acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord (sovereign God), to the GLORY of God the Father.” Where else is better to be in service than in Christ?
Isaiah 42:8-9, “I am the LORD, that is My Name; My GLORY I will not give to another, Nor My praise to carved idols. Indeed, the former things have come to pass, Now I declare new things; Before they spring forth I proclaim them to you.””
Sometimes God does not help you because you deserve it but for His Glory to shine. His Glory He does not want to share with any man. You cannot seek the help of God and yet you are going to the devil for help. How can He help you? Why should He help you? If He does, who will you say helped you, God or the Marine Spirit?
What you need is the power and Glory of God and to maintain such presence with God, we need to live a righteous life. God does not want to share His Praise and Glory, that means He will do that which eyes have not seen, that which will marvel the world (1 Corinthians 2:9). God does the impossible, at the fail of man’s ability He comes in because He will not share His Praise with man. He wants you to reach a point of no help because you ought to know that He is the only one able to deliver; that is why the book of 2 Timothy 4:18 says “The Lord will rescue me from every evil attack and will bring me safely to his heavenly kingdom. To Him be Glory for ever and ever. Amen.”
The devil is not stupid to let Christians find their way into a place of their deliverance. The faster and easy way to get delivered the devil makes it difficult to appear before God. God is everywhere. He is the God of all flesh but not Father to all. Some people go to Churches to showcase. It is not how big a Church is that delivers you. God can heal you anywhere, anytime. Be focused on God, do not go to Church because it is famous. A man of God can tell you the future but unable to prophecy into your life because there is a difference. A genuine Prophet of God is able to create a future in line with the Word of God—that was why Elisha was able to call forth a son for the woman in 2 KINGS 4:16-17, “Elisha said, “At this season next year, you will embrace a son.” She said, “No, my lord. O man of God, do not lie to your maidservant.” But the woman conceived and gave birth to a son at that season the next year, just as Elisha had said to her.” Elisha’s decree was the Will of God because barrenness is not part of God’s Will for His people (Exodus 23:26, Genesis 12:2).
Isaiah 48:11, “For my own sake, for my own sake, I do this. How can I let myself be defamed? I will not yield my Glory to another.” The Lord rescues you for His Name’s sake not because your are the best. The powers of darkness will not be able to claim victory over you because of His Name’s sake. The Lord delivered you because of His name. It is not because you are better than another. They cannot kill you less they say they have conquered or that they are better than God (Numbers 14:14-16).
You cannot die barren, in sickness, in poverty because God wants to show “He is God”.Your sufferings does not mean God is no longer there but for His name to be glorified—that was why Jesus answered in John 9:3, “Neither this man nor his parents sinned, but it was so that the works of God might be displayed and illustrated in him.”
Have you made a mistake or sinned against God, He is a forgiving Father, run back to Him now that you still have the opportunity and dwell in safety; for “the name of the LORD is a fortified tower; the righteous run to it and are safe” (Proverbs 18:10). When you make a mistake, God will correct you. “For whom the LORD loveth he correcteth; even as a father the son in whom he delighteth” (Proverbs 3:12). He won’t let you be shamed by the powers of darkness (Colossians 2:10, Psalm 25:3). During the times God chastens you, humble yourself to learn from your mistakes—that is why Proverbs 3:11-12, says “My son, do not reject or take lightly the discipline of the LORD [learn from your mistakes and the testing that comes from His correction through discipline]; Nor despise His rebuke, for those whom the Lord loves He corrects, Even as a father corrects the son in whom he delights.”
Ezekiel 20:9-10, says “But I acted for My Name’s sake, that it would not be profaned in the sight of the [pagan] nations among whom they lived, in whose sight I made Myself known to them by bringing them out of the land of Egypt. So I made them leave the land of Egypt and brought them into the wilderness.” The Lord protects the Honour of His name. He has given the rights and privileges to His children, those born of the Spirit. Anyone who calls His name must be His son or daughters—bible speaking in John1:12-13, “But to as many as did receive and welcome Him, He gave the right [the authority, the privilege] to become children of God, that is, to those who believe in (adhere to, trust in, and rely on) His name— who were born, not of blood [natural conception], nor of the will of the flesh [physical impulse], nor of the will of man [that of a natural father], but of God [that is, a divine and supernatural birth—they are born of God—spiritually transformed, renewed, sanctified].” Being “Born Again” i.e. new birth in Christ is the only way to secure oneself, thus, operate in the supernatural.
As children of light, we have nothing to fear—that is why the bible in Matthew 5:16, says “In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.” The light imbedded in us as Christians bring Glory to God. As a child of God, we are citizens of Heaven and must therefore operate in the supernatural, no contention of life should draw us away from God for “He raised us up together with Him [when we believed], and seated us with Him in the heavenly places, [because we are] in Christ Jesus…far above all rule and authority and power and dominion [whether angelic or human], and [far above] every name that is named [above every title that can be conferred], not only in this age and world but also in the one to come” (Ephesians 2:6, Ephesians 1:21).
God has promised to deliver you (Psalm 91:15), will He who promised not make it good and fulfil it? (Numbers 23:19). Before you were formed, the Lord already knew you and has set you apart as prophets, kings and priests who will reign in His Glory (Jeremiah 1:5, Revelation 5:10). Anyone can mock you but the Lord’s promise stands regardless of the mockery—that is why the Word says in Isaiah 14:24, “the Lord of hosts has sworn [an oath], saying, “Just as I have intended, so it has certainly happened, and just as I have planned, so it will stand.”
The Lord who brings people out of bondage, will lead you through the wilderness, sustain and make Himself known to you in order to protect His Glory. The Lord makes Himself known by restoring the years of the locusts [ravager, devourer] had eaten (Joel 2:25, Psalm 126:1). All these the Lord does that men should fear before Him (Ecclesiastes 3:14).
Ezekiel 36:22-23, says ““Therefore say to the house of Israel, ‘Thus says the Lord GOD, “It is not for your sake, O house of Israel, that I am about to act, but for My Holy name, which you have profaned among the nations where you went. I will vindicate the Holiness of My great name which has been profaned among the nations, which you have profaned among them. Then the nations will know [without any doubt] that I am the LORD,” says the Lord GOD, “when I prove Myself Holy among you in their sight.” The Lord is bringing you back for restoration. Stay clear of judging anyone for only God is judge (James 4:12). The Lord does it to show that He is God, to protect His name, not because we are righteous. 1 John 1:8, says “If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us.” Again in Isaiah 64:6, “But we are all like an unclean thing, And all our righteousnesses are like [b]filthy rags; We all fade as a leaf, And our iniquities, like the wind, Have taken us away.”
Be mindful of your behaviour. This time is looking as if Christianity is ridiculed because our Pastors are looking unto what they can get; this kind of behaviour removes the Glory of God, which puts God away from acting. Do not focus on men for the arm of flesh will fail you. “This is what the LORD says: “Cursed is the one who trusts in man, who draws strength from mere flesh and whose heart turns away from the LORD”” (Jeremiah 17:5). When you focus on what God can do for you, rendering yourself and neighbour incapable of helping you, the Lord comes in that your weakness and gives you strength. The Word of God in 2 Corinthians 12:9, says “And he said unto me, My Grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.” We must focus on ONLY God to manifest His Glory, when we do not follow Him, He can give us a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient in life, worthy of death (Romans 1:25-32).
God can use anyone to help you, all you need is to continue believing God and when you have forsaken Him, all you need to do is to return with purity of the heart. He saves you to show forth His power, to disprove the world concerning you, to show everyone the He does not make a mistake as the Creator, that the nations shall know He is God (Isaiah 45:3-6). The Lord gives us what we do not merit in order to preserve and protect His name. Exodus 32:12-14, “Why should the Egyptians say, ‘With evil [intent] their God brought them out to kill them in the mountains and destroy them from the face of the earth’? Turn away from Your burning anger and change Your mind about harming Your people. Remember Abraham, Isaac, and Israel (Jacob), Your servants to whom You swore [an oath] by Yourself, and said to them, ‘I will multiply your descendants as the stars of the heavens, and all this land of which I have spoken I will give to your descendants, and they shall inherit it forever;’ ” the LORD changed His mind about the harm which He had said He would do to His people.” The mercy of God endures forever (Psalm 136). He is a covenant keeping God, as He has promised to us, He remembers and will fulfil his promises (Genesis 12:2, Numbers 23:19). We are the ones who dishonour the name of the Lord and yet He is faithful to us, generation after generation; because of His name He gives us what we do not merit for “everything God does will endure forever; nothing can be added to it and nothing taken from it. God does it so that people will fear him” (Ecclesiastes 3:14). Be careful to do the will of God and do not worry about tomorrow (Matthew 6:34). We can only believe God for “The LORD Almighty has sworn, “Surely, as I have planned, so it will be, and as I have purposed, so it will happen” (Isaiah 14:24). All we need is believe that God is able to provide for us and He will (Philippians 4:19).
“But Moses said to the LORD, “Then the Egyptians will hear of it, for by Your strength You brought up these people from among them, and they will tell it to the inhabitants of this land. They have heard that You, LORD, are among these people [of Israel], that You, LORD, are seen face to face, while Your cloud stands over them; and that You go before them in a pillar of cloud by day and in a pillar of fire by night. Now if You kill these people as one man, then the nations (Gentiles) that have heard of Your fame will say, ‘Because the LORD was not able to bring these people into the land which He promised to give them, therefore He slaughtered them in the wilderness.’ But now, please, let the power of the Lord be great, just as You have declared, saying,” (Numbers 14:13-17).
“So that the [people of the] land from which You brought us will not say, “Because the LORD was not capable of bringing them into the land which He had promised them and because He hated them He has brought them out to the wilderness [in order] to kill them.” Yet they are Your people and Your inheritance, whom You have brought out by Your great power and by Your outstretched arm.’” (Deuteronomy 9:28-29).
The Lord has delivered you already by Mercy and Grace which is abundantly sufficient. He will not forsake you, be strong and courageous (Joshua 1:5). For His name’s sake He will not let you be shamed less the enemy rejoices over you as if He was not able.
Before the prayer below, should in case you are not born again or you want to return to Christ. Say! Lord Jesus I come before you a sinner, I believe You died for me and resurrected on the third day, I repent of all my sins, forgive me and cancel my name from the book of death and write it in the book of life. Thank you for saving me. Now Pray!
Ask God to be Glorified in your life, ask Him to honour His name that people will know Jesus is God; that people will know that it not by you but by the Spirit of the Lord.
Mention all you want for He has given you all, in Jesus name Amen!
